Estimated readings

When a closing reading is missing, add an estimate from the machine's average daily use. The next real reading corrects any difference automatically.

Where: Billing run › flagged line › Use an estimateFor Owners, admins

Step by step

  1. On the flagged line press Use an estimate for (date).
  2. Press Recalculate: the line now shows "(estimated reading)".

How it works

It uses two real readings at least two weeks apart from the past year, works out copies per day and projects them to the date.

Billing always uses the rise between readings, so the next real reading bills only what was not billed yet.
