Create a quote

Start a new draft quote for a company, with a title and optional notes for the customer, then add the lines.

Where: Jobs & planning › Quotes › + New quoteFor Owners, admins, dispatchers

Step by step

  1. Go to Jobs & planning › Quotes and press + New quote at the top right. A side panel opens. (From a job, use + New quote in the job's Charges & approval card instead: the job and the payer are filled in for you.)
  2. In For (who pays), choose the company that will pay.
  3. Enter a Title, for example "Fuser unit replacement, bizhub C300i".
  4. Optionally write Notes for the customer (optional): what is included, lead time, conditions.
  5. Press Create and add lines. The draft opens so you can add lines.

Quotes started from a job

The New quote page opens with the payer set to the job's client (for freelance work) or the customer, and the title starting as "Job #123: …". You can change both.

When this quote is accepted, the job's approved amount is raised to the quote subtotal.

If something is blocked

"Choose who the quote is for." means no company was chosen.

Archived companies are not in the list. Restore the company first if you need to quote it.

Tips

  • Keep notes short and factual. The customer reads them on the approval page.

Questions

Can I quote someone who is not a customer yet?

Add them first (Customers & machines › Customers › + Add company). The list only shows companies already in SubClik.

Do I need a job to quote?

No. A quote can stand alone, for example for a new machine or a site survey.
