Step by step
- Finalise the quote, then press Copy link in the Customer approval card and send it to the customer.
- The customer opens the link. They see your firm, the title, the lines, the totals, your notes and the valid until date.
- Under Your answer they enter Your full name and optionally Comment or purchase order number (optional).
- They click Accept quote or Decline.
- The quote in SubClik changes to Accepted or Declined, with their name, the time and "by the online link".
When the link stops working
After the valid until date the customer sees "This quote has expired. Please contact us for an updated price."
If you sent a newer version, the old link says it has been replaced by a newer version.
If you withdraw the quote, the link is no longer valid.
Once answered, the link shows the answer and cannot be answered again.
What acceptance does
If the quote belongs to a job, the job's approved amount is raised to the quote subtotal ex VAT and a note is added to the job, so it can be invoiced even if the customer has a cost limit.
Tips
- Ask the customer to put their PO number in the comment. It is shown on the quote in SubClik.
- Anyone with the link can answer, so send it only to the person who can approve spending.
Questions
Does the customer need an account?
No. The link works on its own, on a phone or computer.
The customer accepted by email instead. What now?
Record it yourself with Record answer at the top of the quote.
Can the customer change their mind?
Not by the link. Once answered it is closed. Make a New version if the customer wants something different.
