Releases

  1. 0.2

    Latest

    Managed from the SubClik portal

Pair the server with a code and run it from the portal: machines, queues, people and scan destinations are set up online, and the server keeps working from its last copy when the internet is down.

    • Newsubclik-print pair CODE connects the server to your organisation in the portal. No configuration file to edit.
    • NewConfiguration comes from the portal every minute and is kept locally, so printing and release carry on offline.
    • NewFinished jobs are sent to the portal for reports, quotas and cost per department; document names can be hidden for privacy.
    • NewMonthly page quotas, colour and double-sided rules per person, with credit requests approved by the office.
    • NewCards registered at a machine are saved in the portal and work at every site of the organisation.
    • NewScan to OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive and Dropbox once the account is connected in the portal.
    • ImprovedOne PIN and card key for the whole organisation, so the same PIN works in every building.
  2. 0.1

First release: secure release, moving jobs, scanning

The print server on its own, configured from a local file: held printing, release at the machine, moving jobs when a machine breaks down, and scanning to email and folders.

    • NewIPP print queues for Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Linux using the systems' own IPP driver. No vendor driver needed for PDF-capable machines.
    • NewHeld (secure) and direct queues; held jobs expire after 12 hours if nobody collects them.
    • NewRelease screen for a tablet by the machine, the copier's own browser, or a phone from a QR code. Card, PIN or password sign-in.
    • NewMachine status from SNMP before sending. A broken machine gets nothing, and the screen offers nearby machines instead.
    • NewA job stuck on a failing machine is cancelled there first and only then sent to the new machine, so it can never print twice.
    • NewScan to email (through your Microsoft 365 or other mail relay) and to local or network folders. Only known people and folders are accepted.
    • NewRuns as a Windows service or under systemd on Linux.
    • SecurityPINs and cards stored as keyed hashes, passwords with PBKDF2; sign-in locked after five failed attempts a minute.

Every build is numbered 0.2.N; the exact version and checksums are on the download page.
