The coloured dot (their calendar colour), the name and (you) for yourself; labels for the role, Subcontractor (with their business name) or Employee, their company (for customer logins) and Deactivated.
At the bottom: the registration of their vehicle (or No vehicle for an engineer without one) and the number of open jobs.
Toolbar
Vans & vehicles opens the vehicles page. + Invite someone opens a side panel with the invitation form.
Engineers
Engineers only ever see the jobs assigned to them. Give each one a van stock on their Van stock tab so they can record parts from the van.
Questions
Can I change my own role?
No. On your own page it says "You cannot change your own role or remove yourself. Ask another owner or admin."
Can an admin change an owner?
No. Only an owner can edit or remove another owner, and the firm always needs at least one owner.
Someone never got their invitation email.
Open their page and press Send sign-in link on the Details tab, or copy the one-time link shown after inviting and send it by text or WhatsApp.
What is the difference between Deactivated and Remove from team?
Deactivated (under Access in Change role and pay) keeps them on the list but stops their access, and you can switch them back. Remove from team deletes their login to your firm, sends their open jobs back to Unassigned and moves their van stock to main stock.
Where do I set what subcontractors are paid?
On their page, Details tab › Change role and pay: Pay per visit (£), Pay per hour (£) and Pay per mile (£). Their Statement tab shows what each job cost you.
I'm a dispatcher and cannot invite anyone.
Only owners and admins can invite people or change their role. Dispatchers can still open each person's page.
Works together with
- A person's page: details, vehicle, van stock and jobsEach person in the team has their own page with tabs for their details and access, their vehicle, the parts on their van and their jobs.
- Invite someone to the teamGive an engineer, dispatcher, admin, owner or customer a login: they get an email with a link to set a password.
- Change someone's roleChange a person's role between engineer, dispatcher, admin and owner, whether they are an employee or subcontractor, their pay and their access.
- Subcontractors: work we give outGive jobs to a self-employed engineer or another firm's engineer, see which machines they worked on, the parts they fitted and what each job cost you, while the customer and the machine stay yours.
- Engineer and subcontractor pay ratesRecord what you pay an engineer per hour and per mile, and for a subcontractor also per visit, so reports and statements show what the work cost you.
- Deactivate someoneStop a person's access for now while keeping them on the team list, for example during long leave.
- Remove someone from the teamTake away a person's access for good; their open jobs return to Unassigned and their van stock goes back to main stock.
- Send someone a sign-in linkEmail a person a fresh link to sign in or set their password, for example if they lost the invitation.
- Choose someone's calendar colourPick the colour a person's jobs and events have in the company calendar and the chat.
- Roles: who can see and do whatEvery login has a role: owner, admin, dispatcher, engineer or customer portal. The role decides what that person sees and can change.
