What is on the page
Tabs across the top: Company profile, Branding, Invoices, Service defaults, SLA & working hours, Documents & emails and Security. Click a tab to show that section. On a phone, swipe the tabs sideways to see them all.
After the tabs, three links open separate pages: Job types →, Contract terms → (your terms and conditions for contracts) and Modules →.
Each section has its own save button (Save profile, Save invoice settings, Save service defaults, Save SLA settings, Save email settings, Save security). Saving one section does not touch the others, so you can change one thing at a time.
Everything here applies to your firm only. If you work for more than one firm in SubClik, switch firm first (bottom left of the menu).
Where these values are used
Company profile and Branding: printed on job sheets, invoices, quotes and customer emails.
Invoices: numbering of invoices and quotes, payment terms, VAT rate, bank details and the invoice footer.
Service defaults: call-out, labour, travel and mileage charges, access charges for deliveries, the cost limit and the callback window. Used when a customer has no rates of its own; rates on the customer's page always win.
SLA & working hours: deadlines of new jobs. Existing deadlines are never recalculated.
Documents & emails: where customer replies go, the office copy and which automatic emails SubClik sends.
Security: whether owners and admins must use two-step sign-in.
Who can use it
Owners and admins (it is under Administration in the menu). Dispatchers and engineers do not see Settings. Only an owner can change Security.
Every change to settings and bank details is written to the Audit log with who made it and what changed.
Settings and the setup wizard
The setup wizard asks for the same fields with the same names. Whatever you confirm there is shown here, and changes here show in the wizard. See the setup wizard article.
Tips
- Check Company profile and Invoices before you issue your first invoice: they are printed on every document.
- Change rates at a quiet moment. Jobs already logged keep the charges they were given.
Questions
I can't see Settings in the menu.
Only owners and admins can (open the Administration section of the menu). Ask your firm's owner to change your role on your page under Team › Engineers & team if you need it.
I changed the hourly rate. Do open jobs change?
No. New jobs use the new rates. Rates on a customer's own page always take priority over the defaults here.
I changed the SLA. Why do open jobs still show the old deadline?
Deadlines are worked out when a job is logged and never recalculated, so a change only affects new jobs.
Can I undo a change?
There is no undo button, but the Audit log shows the old and new values, so you can type the old value back in.
The page says "Settings could not be loaded".
Refresh the page. If it keeps happening, sign out and in again; if it still fails, contact SubClik support with the message shown.
Where are job types, checklists and fixed prices?
On their own page: Administration › Settings › Job types → (the link after the tabs).

- Change your company detailsYour trading and legal name, company number, VAT number, address, phone, email and website, printed on job sheets and invoices. Also your currency, distance unit and time zone.
- Invoice settings: numbering, terms, VAT, bank details and footerHow your invoices and quotes are numbered, when invoices are due, the default VAT rate, the bank details printed for transfers and the footer text.
- Standard rates and SLAYour standard call-out, labour, travel and mileage charges, how labour is rounded, delivery access charges, the cost limit, the callback window, and the response time (SLA) with your working hours.
- Documents & emails: replies, office copy and footerWhere customer replies go, which address gets a copy of every job sheet, the footer of every email, and which automatic emails SubClik sends.
- Job types: checklists and fixed pricesThe kinds of work your firm does (repair, maintenance, installation, delivery, collection, PaperCut, firmware…). Each type can have its own engineer checklist, a fixed charge, a usual duration, and can require a machine or ask for access details.
- Contract terms: part periods, minimum, pools, invoicing, renewalSet how the contract is billed: part periods pro rata, a minimum copy charge, pooled free copies, who pays and on which invoice, automatic renewal and notice, and a yearly price increase.
- Modules: show only what your firm usesSwitch off parts of SubClik your firm does not use (freelance work, contracts, quotes, stock, vehicles, monitoring, solutions, chat). Their menus and pages are hidden; nothing is deleted.
- Require two-step sign-in for owners and adminsMake every owner and admin of your firm enter a 6-digit code (by email or from an authenticator app) when they sign in, so a leaked password alone cannot open invoices, bank details and every customer.
- Audit log: who changed whatA permanent record of important changes: team access, settings, bank details, job rates, contract billing, integrations, API keys, printer agents and payments brought in automatically. Entries cannot be edited or deleted.
- The setup wizardThe first time an owner or admin signs in, SubClik walks you through setting up your firm, one step per screen. Four steps are required before the portal opens; the rest you can do now, later or skip.
