- In Copy prices (open it if it is folded), enter the price per copy for each meter (e.g.
0.0045for mono,0.045for colour). - Optionally enter Included: free copies per billing period for each machine.
- To price another meter (e.g. A3 colour), type its name in the last row.
- Press Save copy prices.
How it is used
Every machine of this customer on a contract uses these prices for its meters with the same name (mono, colour…), unless the contract gives that machine its own price.
A meter with no price anywhere is not charged, and the contract page warns you.
Changing a price affects the next billing runs only. Finalised runs keep the prices they used.
Tips
- Leave a price empty and save to remove it.
- The Contracts & invoices tab is only shown to owners and admins.
Works together with
- Price bands (lower price after a number of copies)Charge the first copies at one price and the copies above a number at another, e.g. the first 10,000 mono at 0.6p and the rest at 0.5p. On the customer's price list or on one machine's own price.
- Machines on a contract and their pricesAdd or remove machines, and choose for each meter whether it uses the customer's price, its own price, or is not charged.
- How copies are chargedCopies = closing reading minus opening reading. Free copies are taken off, the rest is charged at the price per copy from the machine's own price or the customer's price list.
- ContractsService, rental and copy contracts for your own customers' machines. Each period a billing run charges the service fee, rental and other charges, and copies at the customer's prices, then makes the invoices.
- Apply a price increaseRaise the service fee, minimum, charges and the contract's own machine prices by a percentage, optionally the customer's copy prices too. Every increase is kept in the price history.
