What the list shows
Tabs: All, Parts, Consumables and Services.
Columns: Item (with type, category and manufacturer), SKU / part no., Fits (models), Main stock, In cars (total in engineers' vans), Price. Owners and admins also see Cost and Margin.
Items with no selling price show No price in amber. Inactive items are hidden unless you tick Show inactive. Long lists are split into pages with Previous and Next.
Prices and old jobs
Changing a price here never changes past jobs. Parts already on jobs keep the price they were added with.
Buttons
+ Add part or service (top right) opens the add page. Upload from file imports a CSV price list. Click an item to edit it, book stock in or move it.
Questions
How do engineers find the right toner?
Fill in Fits models (for example C250i, C300i). Engineers see matching parts first on those machines.
Who sees cost prices?
Only owners and admins. Dispatchers and engineers never see cost or margin.
Why can't I delete an item?
Items used on a job cannot be deleted, so history stays intact. Untick Active instead.
Do services have stock?
No. Services (call-out, labour, travel…) show a dash in the stock columns.
Can I search by machine model?
Yes. The search looks at name, SKU, part number and the models it fits.
