Step by step
- Look at the bell: a number on it means something is waiting. It is red when something is urgent, amber otherwise.
- Click the bell. The Needs attention list opens, one line per kind of thing with how many there are.
- Click a line to go straight to the right list. Press Esc or click outside to close it.
- When nothing is waiting it says “All clear. Nothing waiting for you.”
What it lists and where each line goes

Owners and admins also see … finished jobs to invoice → Invoices, … overdue invoices (red) → Invoices › Overdue, and … contracts in the notice period → Contracts.
Where it is
On a computer the bell is at the top right, next to the search box. On a phone it is in the top bar, next to + New job.
The counts are worked out when the page loads, so open another page or refresh to see the latest.
Questions
Is this the same as Needs attention on the service desk?
No. The service desk's Needs attention list is about jobs (missed SLA, parts required, overdue next actions…). The bell covers everything waiting for the office across SubClik.
Why don't I see invoices in the bell?
Invoice and contract lines are only shown to owners and admins.
Does the bell send me emails or phone notifications?
No. It only shows in the portal. Chat messages have their own notifications.
