Step by step
- Open the reviewed job.
- Click Reopen.
- Type why the job is reopened (the engineer sees this).
- Press Reopen job. You see “Job reopened.”
What happens
The job goes back to Assigned (or Unassigned if it has no engineer) with your reason as the return reason.
The reason is kept in the history and audit log.
Invoiced jobs cannot be reopened: issue a credit note first, which takes the job back to Reviewed.
Questions
The same fault came back weeks later. Reopen or new job?
Log a new job. SubClik offers to mark it as a callback, which keeps your first-time-fix figures and charges right.
Works together with
- Send a completed job back to the engineer (Return to fit)If a completed job needs another visit, send it back to the engineer with the reason. They see the reason and must accept the job again.
- Callbacks: the same fault coming backWhen you log a job on a machine that was fixed recently, SubClik asks if it is the same fault coming back. A free callback is not charged; a charged one needs a reason.
- Credit an invoice (credit note)Correct an issued invoice by crediting it in full. Its jobs and parts become billable again so you can invoice them correctly.
- Job statuses explainedA job moves from Unassigned to Invoiced. Most changes come from the engineer's app; the office assigns, closes, sends back, reopens, invoices and cancels.
