Step by step
- Open Customers & machines › Printers & agents › Prepare a SubClik Box in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a computer (not a phone).
- Plug the ESP32-C3 board into the computer with a USB-C cable. Most phone cables work; some cheap cables that came with lights or fans only charge. If no port appears when you press Install, the cable is charge-only: try another.
- Press Install the SubClik Box software, choose the port (USB JTAG/serial debug unit) and confirm.
- Wait about a minute until it says it is done, then close the window (×). If it keeps spinning after the installation, close it anyway: the Box is installed.
- Then, still on the same cable, press Write the code to the Box (step 3) so the Box already knows its customer.
- Rarely needed: if the board is still not found with a working cable, hold its BOOT button while plugging it in (before it goes into its case).

Works together with
- The SubClik BoxThe SubClik Box is a small Wi-Fi reader powered from the copier's USB port. It finds the printers on the customer's network and sends meters, toner, error codes and jams, with nothing installed on the customer's computers.
- Set up a SubClik Box at the customer (Wi-Fi and pairing)Plug the Box into the copier, join its own Wi-Fi from your phone, log in, choose the office Wi-Fi (and the pairing code if it was not written in the office). The printers appear in SubClik within minutes.
