Step by step
- Open the job and click Work & parts. Parts without a price have an amber box and “Needs a price”. The tab shows an amber dot.
- Type the Price in the part's row.
- Tick free if the customer is not charged for it.
- If the job is Completed or Reviewed and the part already had a price, type a Reason if changed.
- Press Save.
Rules
On a finished job a price change needs a reason (“a reason is required to change a price on a finished job”). The old and new price are kept in the audit log.
Invoiced jobs are locked: correct them with a credit note.
An invoice cannot be created while a chargeable item has no price (“set a price for: … (job #…)”).
