Review and close a completed job

When the engineer completes a job, the office checks it and presses Close job. The job becomes Reviewed and is ready to invoice.

Where: Service desk › To review › job › Close jobFor Owners, admins, dispatchers

Step by step

  1. On the service desk, click Completed, to review.
  2. Open a job and check: Work carried out and Signed by (Overview), time, mileage and parts with prices (Work & parts), photos (Files).
  3. Fix anything that is wrong (prices, times, details). Make sure Charges & approval has no “no price” lines and is not over the cost limit.
  4. Press Close job. The status becomes Reviewed.
  5. Then press Create invoice (owners and admins), or Invoiced elsewhere if you bill outside SubClik.

Not right? Send it back

If more work is needed, use Return to fit instead of closing (see “Send a completed job back to the engineer”).

After closing

A reviewed job can still be corrected on the job page and can be reopened with a reason if needed.

Tips

  • Review jobs daily. It catches missing prices and signatures while the engineer still remembers the visit.

Questions

Do I have to review before invoicing?

No. Create invoice and Invoiced elsewhere also work on Completed jobs. Reviewing is a check step that keeps the To review list clean.

Can engineers close jobs?

No. Engineers complete jobs; only the office closes (reviews) them.
