The printer report

A printable report from a full read of a printer: identity, counters, toner, paper trays, errors of the last 30 days, daily readings and all technical values.

Where: Printer page › Ask the agent › Printer report › Open the printer reportFor Owners, admins, dispatchers, engineers

Step by step

  1. Ask for a Printer report on the printer (or the engineer's job).
  2. When it is done, press Open the printer report.
  3. Read the sections: Printer, Counters, Toner, ink and parts, Paper trays, Errors and warnings · last 30 days, Daily readings · last 14 days and Technical data.
  4. Press Print to print it or save it as a PDF, e.g. for the customer or a manufacturer.
  5. Press Download the raw file to save every value the agent read as a text file.
  6. Press ← Back to return.

What it shows

Serial number, customer and site, the machine in SubClik (or Not added yet), IP and MAC address, network name, the location and contact set on the printer, running time, memory, technology, duplex, output tray size, languages and firmware.

Technical data says how many values were read; Show the raw values lists them.

Not ready yet

If the agent has not answered you see The agent has not answered yet…. If it failed: The agent could not do it: ….

Send to SubClik

Office staff can send the report to SubClik under Send to SubClik: choose What the printer showed (e.g. A paper jam, Waste toner box full, A service / error code) and, if there is one, the Code on the panel, then press Send to SubClik.

SubClik turns it into a test for that model: every new version of the agent and the SubClik Box must read it right. Best: one report when the printer is fine, and one each time it shows a jam, low toner, a full waste box or a service code.

Only that report is sent (with the printer's name and location as set on the printer), nothing else from your portal.
