Step by step
- Open Parts & vans › Vans & vehicles.
- Use the tabs: In use, Dates due (MOT, insurance or service in the next 30 days or overdue) and Off the road.
- Press Edit on a row to change it, or + Add vehicle at the top right to add one.
What each row shows
Driver (or "Pool vehicle"), Vehicle (registration, make and model) and Dates: labels for MOT, Insurance and Service. A label turns amber 30 days before the date and red when it is overdue.
With more than 8 vehicles a search box appears (Registration, model or driver).
Mileage
Engineers record their daily start and end mileage in the engineer app, and it is saved against the vehicle they drive.
From the engineer's page
Each engineer's page (Team › Engineers & team › person › Vehicle tab) shows their vehicle with + Add a vehicle, Give a pool vehicle and Unassign.
Questions
Can two engineers share a van?
Make it a Pool vehicle (no fixed driver).
Why isn't an engineer in the Driven by list?
Only active people with the Engineer role are listed.
Can I delete a vehicle?
No. Use Take off the road (in Edit); its mileage history stays.
Is this the same as van stock?
No. Van stock (parts in the van) is on Parts & vans › Stock › Vans. This page is about the vehicle itself.
