Step by step
- At the start of the day, tap the menu (☰) › Mileage, type the odometer in Start of day and tap Save. Until you do, the menu shows a red dot.
- At the end of the day, type the odometer in End of day and tap Save.
- The card then shows the distance for today, for example "86 miles today".
Rules
The first save of the day needs the start reading: "Enter the start-of-day reading."
The end must be higher than the start: "End of day must be higher than start of day."
One record per day (your firm's time zone). Saving again updates it. The reading is linked to the vehicle assigned to you, if there is one.
Miles or kilometres follow your firm's settings.
This needs signal.
Mileage for one job
Some firms charge or pay mileage per job. See "Add mileage to a job".
Tips
- Take a photo of the dashboard if you are in a hurry and type it in later the same day.
Ideas to try
- Use the daily totals for HMRC business mileage claims and to check fuel cards.
Questions
I forgot the start reading this morning.
Type your best estimate and tell the office. Only today's record can be changed from the phone.
Is my car tracked?
No. The app only stores the numbers you type, plus your position at the moment you tap job status buttons.
