The steps of a visit
1. Accept job: you have seen it and will do it. Or Can't take this job to give it back to the office.
2. On my way: starts the travel timer. If you are already there, tap I'm here: start work instead.
3. Arrived: start work stops travel and starts the work timer. If you have arrived but cannot start yet (waiting for a key, customer busy), tap Arrived, starting later, then Start work when you begin.
4. Finish job opens the finish steps: what you did, the checklist, parts used, meter readings, whether the machine needs anything else, and the customer's signature.
5. The job is Completed and goes to the office for review and invoicing. Or, if parts are needed, it goes back as Parts required and the office books the return visit.
The times are recorded for you from these buttons: you never type travel or labour time. The line under the buttons shows "Travelling since…" or "Working since…" with the totals so far.
The top of the job
Status, job type (for example Installation or Service), priority, and for subcontract work the client and their reference. Then the title, customer, site, address and the machine (make, model, serial number, where it is, firmware).
Call rings the contact (or the customer if there is no contact). Directions opens maps at the site. Message the office about this job opens the chat for this job.
Coloured notes warn you before you start: Access (site access notes), Cost limit (how much you can spend without approval; call the office before going over), Callback (this fault was worked on recently; check the history), Delivery access (floor, lift, stairs, parking for delivery jobs) and Returned by the office (why the office sent a finished job back to you).

What fixed this before: earlier jobs in your firm that fixed the same error code, with the parts used. Open by default when there are matches.
Printer status and error log: live status, toner and error history from the monitoring agent at the site, if the machine is monitored.
Photos and files, Parts and meters on this job, Mileage, Note to office and Machine history (the last visits to this machine). Tap a heading to open it.
When the job is no longer yours
If the office gives the job to someone else, the page says "This job is no longer assigned to you." with a link Back to my jobs.
Tips
- Tap the buttons as things happen. The times on the job sheet and the invoice come from them.
- Read What fixed this before before you leave for the job: it often tells you which part to take.
- Allow location access when the phone asks. Your position is saved with the status (on my way, arrived, completed) as proof of visit.
Ideas to try
- Agree a fix code list with your engineers (ROLLER, FUSER, ADJUST…). It makes What fixed this before and your reports much more useful.
Questions
I forgot to tap On my way. Can I fix the times?
Tap I'm here: start work now: the job moves on and work time starts. Ask the office to correct the travel time on the job if it matters.
I tapped the wrong button.
The job only moves forward. Carry on, and send a note or message to the office so they can correct the job.
Do I have to type my travel and labour time?
No. They are recorded from the status buttons.
Why can't I see Finish job?
It only appears once you have started work. Tap Start work (or Arrived: start work) first.
What is the Cost limit note?
The most you can spend on parts and labour on this job without the customer's approval. Call the office before fitting anything that takes it over.
Does the app record my location?
Only at the moment you tap On my way, Arrived, Start work and complete the job, and only if you allow location access. It is not tracked in between.
Can I work on a job without signal?
Yes. Status buttons, finish steps, parts, meters and photos are saved on the phone and sent later. See "Working offline".
Works together with
- Accept a new jobTell the office you have seen a new job and will do it. Accepted jobs are no longer shown as new.
- On my way, arrived and start workThe status buttons record your travel and labour time and tell the office (and the customer portal) where the job is up to.
- Finish a job: the finish stepsFinish job opens a full-screen set of short steps, one question per screen, so nothing is forgotten: work done, checklist, parts, meters, anything else needed, and sign-off.
- Take meter readings on a jobType the machine's counters (mono, colour, scans, total) during Finish job. They are saved against the machine and used for click-charge billing.
- Customer signature and the job sheetThe last finish step: the customer signs on your screen (or you record why there is no signature) and the job sheet PDF can be emailed to them straight away.
- Parts required: send the job back for a return visitIf the machine needs a part you do not have, finish the visit as Parts required. Your work is saved, the office orders the part and books the return visit.
- What fixed this beforeShows earlier jobs in your firm that fixed the same error code, with what was done and the parts used, so you bring the right part first time.
- Job statuses explainedA job moves from Unassigned to Invoiced. Most changes come from the engineer's app; the office assigns, closes, sends back, reopens, invoices and cancels.
