What you see
Parts wear: each part the printer reports, what is left, how much it uses a month and when it will need replacing (amber within 30 days, red now). It needs a few weeks of history after a part is fitted.
Error and service codes (12 months): the most frequent first, how often, how long the printer was down and when it last happened. Useful before a visit: bring the part that keeps failing.
Replacements seen: from the levels the printer reports, a jump of 25 points or more is a new part or cartridge.
Firmware: the version now, the versions it had before and since when, and the versions the same model runs elsewhere in your fleet (amber when most run another).
What it needs
Only what printers report over the standard printer MIB (SNMP). Many printers report drum and fuser; some report no parts at all. Then the table says so.
Read only: SubClik does not change settings or install firmware. Use the maker's tools or the printer's own web page for that.
Works together with
- The printer pageEverything the agent knows about one printer: status and current errors, problem counts, toner forecast, error history, daily counters, readings sent to the machine and the device's own details.
- Toner running out (forecast)SubClik works out from each printer's daily toner levels when each toner will run out. The forecast card lists those expected to run out in the next 14 days.
- Toner yield and cost per pageHow many pages each toner cartridge really printed, against what the maker declares, which machines use more toner than they should, and what a page costs in toner.
