Step by step
- In the finish steps, go to Parts used.
- Search the catalogue and pick the part. Parts that fit this machine model are easier to find.
- Not in the list? Type a description instead; the office will add the price (the part shows "Office will add the price").
- Set Qty (1 by default).
- Tap Add part. Repeat for each part.
- To take one off, tap Remove next to it.
- Tap Next when done. No parts used? Just tap Next.
What happens to stock
A catalogue part you add is taken off your car or van stock (see the Stock tab). If you have no van stock location, it comes off the firm's main store. Removing the part puts it back.
Prices are not shown to engineers. The office sees and adjusts them when they review the job.
Offline
Parts can be added and removed without signal. They show in the list straight away and are sent later.
Questions
The part I fitted is not in the catalogue.
Type a description (and part number if you know it) and add it. The office prices it.
My van count is wrong after adding a part.
Tell the office: they correct stock counts. See "Your car or van stock".
Can I remove a part outside the finish steps?
Yes, under Parts and meters on this job on the job page, but not while the job is in Working status: use the finish steps then.

- Record a part the customer suppliedWhen the customer (or the client you are working for) gave you the part, tick the box so it is recorded on the job but not charged and not taken from your van.
- Remove a part from a jobTake off a part you added by mistake. It goes back into your van stock.
- Parts required: send the job back for a return visitIf the machine needs a part you do not have, finish the visit as Parts required. Your work is saved, the office orders the part and books the return visit.
